The Institute of Public Administration helds different annual forums and meetings which targets specific groups of civil servants. These forums presents additional place for the experts to share experience and ideas and affirm the Institute position as a center for knowledge sharing.

ANNUAL HUMAN RESOURCE MEETING

The first Annual meeting of the human resource experts in the public administration was held in 2003 and since then it became one of the biggest forums organized by the IPA. The HR community in the public administration is among the most significant IPA’s partners towards achieving its mission. During the annual meetings current issues of policies in the field of people management in the administration are presented, new trends are being discussed. The annual meetings are highly valued by the participants because they provide an opportunity to share informal experience, ideas and good practices.

ANNUAL LECTURERS' MEETING

This is one of the most important meetings with the Institute’s lecturers on whom the quality of the conducted trainings highly depends. During the annual meeting we discuss with our lecturers the results and the feedback from the trainees’ in the conducted trainings as well as measures for improvement. The Institute is presenting new tendencies in the field of adult education in general as well as new trends in the IPA’s trainings’ design.

SUMMER ACADEMY FOR YOUNG LEADERS IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The Summer Academy for Young Leaders was first held in 2016 and laid the ground for a tradition which aims to form and sustain a network of young civil servants with leadership potential. The Academy is a 5-day training which combines lections with practical tasks and workshops in the field of leadership, communication skills and protocol, design thinking etc. Lecturers in the Academy are civil servants with vast expertise as well as experts from international companies and institutions.

CYBER CLUB IN THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The Cyber Club was created to connect and give platform to the network of cybersecurity, informational and IT security experts in the public administration to share experience, exchange good practices, tools etc. The CyberClub-network was established with the support and active participation of the Ministry of e-Governance and the Executive Agency еGovernment Infrastructure.

The network was established in the beginning of 2023 with a forum dedicted to the topic of cybersecurity and cyberthreaths that are most common in the public sector. Following that first forum additional events for the CyberClub-network are organized to support and develop the network.

ANNUAL GOOD PRACTICES COMPETITION

The Institute of Public Administration organizes annual competition for good practices and innovations in the Bulgarian public administration. The competition is held in three key categories – Human Resources Management, Technological Solutions for Open Government and Social Responsibility.

The purpose of the initiative is to encourage the administrations to apply good and innovative practices and to give them a platform to share their experience. In this way, successful decisions and practices can become popular instruments for achieving higher quality in administrative services and activities.
