The Public Sector Innovation Forum was held in Bansko from 13-15 December 2022. The event brought together experts from the Ministry of eGovernment, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth, and experts from the Young Leaders in Administration Network.  The forum was aimed at finding workable solutions on how to create and maintain a network of experts to implement innovative approaches in public administration.

The Forum was launched with a presentation of experiences and a demonstration of innovative practices to promote civic participation, which was attended online and on-site by the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS) team. Milena Andreeva, Director of the Directorate of Youth Policies at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, continued the topic with an overview of innovation as an approach at a European level and with concrete examples of innovation in the public sector in South Korea.  Experts from the Ministry of eGovernment and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth presented trends in the upcoming programming period. The participants in the forum got acquainted with the principles for innovation in the public sector from the handbook of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and actively discussed and worked in groups in search of an answer to the question "How to develop a network of innovation experts in public administration?". The collaborative work brought to the fore several challenges to implementing innovation, but also proposed solutions to facilitate the process.
